Cat boarding
At Houndhouse, we love our little feline friends – they are definitely not an afterthought! Separate from the hounds, your cat will have private accommodations with all the amenities a cat could ask for. Our “cat condos” have been carefully designed to provide the utmost comfort and hygiene. Each condo is multi-level and completely enclosed, with windows that provide an elevated view of the reception area. Most cats love to watch as people and pets come and go throughout the day, secure in the knowledge that privacy is always available in the lower level of the condo.
Cats usually don’t enjoy the sight of a feline stranger staring in at them, so the condos are situated on the same wall, allowing your cat to settle in quickly and easily. For maximum hygiene, each condo is separately vented utilizing a negative pressure system.
The price of cat boarding is $15.00 per cat per day for the first cat $12.00 for additional cat. If you have a dog boarding at the same time we give you a discounted rate of $10.00 per day that is up to a $5.00 a day discount per day.
Private, one-on-one playtime is provided for your cat each day, and a treat or toy is given each evening to allow for some nighttime amusement!
We have a selection of soft and cozy bedding for you to choose from, or you may provide your own – whichever your cat would prefer!
Vaccinations, titres and general health requirements:
- We require current vaccinations for FVRCP and rabies. Written proof (signed veterinary certificate, or computer record/bill which includes vaccination and veterinary information) of up-to-date vaccinations (within 3 years) must be presented BEFORE admittance of any cat.
- We also ask that you thoroughly inspect your cat for skin irritations, rashes, sores or fleas prior to your boarding reservation. That way, if you find a problem, it can be attended to by your veterinarian well before your arrival date. Once here, each cat is checked for the presence of external parasites. If your pet has fleas, he/she will be treated with a topical flea control product, the cost of which will be added to the boarding fee.
- All cats must be spayed or neutered.
- Cats must come with their own food to avoid digestive upsets.
